HouseKey uses provider-owned cookies ("first-party cookies") and third-party cookies related to third-party services ("third-party cookies"). Unless otherwise stated within this document, such third parties also have access to the cookies they manage.

Some of the processing purposes for which cookies are used require the consent of the user. If consent is given, it may be freely revoked at any time in accordance with the procedure described in this document.

The duration of validity and expiration of cookies and other similar trackers depend on the lifetime set by the provider or the respective third-party provider. Some of them expire as soon as the user ends the browsing session. Definitions

Personal data (or data)

Any information by which the identity of a natural person is or can be determined, directly or in combination with other information.

Usage data

Information that HouseKey (or third party services that HouseKey uses) automatically collects such as:

  • IP addresses or domain names of the computers of users who use a HouseKey website.
  • URI-addresses (Uniform Resource Identifier)
  • Request time
  • Method used to send the request to the server
  • Size of the received response file
  • Numeric code indicating the status of the server response (successful result, error, etc.)
  • Country of origin
  • Functions of the browser and operating system used by the user
  • various time information per call (e.g. time spent on each page of the application)
  • Information about the path followed within an application
  • Order of visited pages
  • Other information about the operating system of the device and/or the IT environment of the user

Users

The person using a HouseKey website who, unless otherwise specified, is the same as the data subject.

Affected

The natural person to whom the personal data refers.

Order processor (or data processor)

Natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the Controller as described in this Privacy Policy.

Responsible person (or provider, partly also owner)

The natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data and the means used for that purpose, including the security measures relating to the operation and use of a HouseKey Website. Unless otherwise specified, the controller is the natural or legal person through which a website of HouseKey is offered.

HouseKey website (or this application)

The hardware or software tool used to collect and process the User's personal data.

Service

The service offered by HouseKey, as described in the relevant TOS and on this website/app.

European Union (or EU)

Unless otherwise indicated, all references in this document are to all current Member States of the European Union and the European Economic Area (EEA).

Cookie

Cookies are trackers that consist of a small data set stored in the user's browser.

Tracker

The term tracker refers to any technology - e.g., cookies, unique identifiers, web beacons, embedded scripts, e-tags, or fingerprinting - by which users can be tracked, e.g., by enabling access to or storage of information on the user device.

Absolutely necessary cookies

Crowdhouse uses so-called "technical" cookies and similar trackers to enable operations that are strictly necessary for the implementation and provision of the Service.

Manage settings and grant or revoke consents

The management of tracker settings and the granting and revocation of consent can be done in various ways:

  • Users can manage tracker settings directly via their own device settings, e.g. by objecting to the use or storage of trackers altogether.
  • If the use of trackers is based on consent, users can also give or revoke consent by making the appropriate selection in the cookie notice or by changing the aforementioned selection via the corresponding consent widget (if available).
  • Using the appropriate browser or device settings, it is also possible to delete trackers that have already been saved, including those responsible for storing the original user consent.
  • Other trackers stored in the browser's local memory can be removed by deleting the history.
